Structuro 352 is a new generation additive with a high water-reducing power without loss of workability or performance. It allows the production of very fluid concretes.

Standards

Structuro 352 complies with UNE-EN 934-2:2010 Tables 3.1. and 3.2. as a high activity water reducer/superplasticiser.

Typical dosage

The optimum dosage of Structuro 352 to achieve specific requirements should be determined by tests using the materials and conditions with which it will be tested in practice.

This dosage can range from 0.5 to 2% s.p.c. For flowable concrete the average dosage would be approximately 0.7%.

Properties

The following results were obtained at a temperature of 20ºC:

• Appearance: Light brown liquid
• Density: 1,058 ± 0,01 kg/l
• pH: 6,0 ± 1,0
• Water soluble chloride content (CI-): ≤ 0,10%.
• Alkali content (Na2O equivalent): max. 2,5 % by mass
• Main function: Decrease water content. Increase workability
• Secondary function: To increase initial and final strengths.

Mode of use

Mix design

Once the appropriate dosage has been selected, care must be taken to ensure the consistency of the materials used and the mixing and distribution processes.

Compatibility

Structuro 352 is only compatible with the superplasticisers of the Fosroc Euco range if the lowest possible w/c ratio is to be maintained. If more than one admixture is used, they should be added to the concrete separately and not mixed together prior to addition. The resulting properties of concrete containing more than one admixture should be checked by pre-testing.

Structuro 352 is suitable for use with all cements complying with RC-08.

Dosing system

The correct amount of Structuro 352 should be measured using a suitable dosing system. For best results, the admixture should be added to the concrete in the mixing water or directly in the mixer. In this case, increase the setting time. Contact the Fosroc Euco Technical Department for advice on the appropriate dosing equipment and its installation.

Effects of overdosage

An overdosage of twice the maximum dosage indicated may cause delayed setting of the concrete as well as additional air entrapment.

Curing

As with all structural concrete, good curing must be achieved, particularly in situations where overdosing has occurred. A Fosroc Euco Concure type curing membrane, water (sprayed) or wet burlap should be used.

Clean up and disposal

Spillage of Structuro 352 should be absorbed with sand or earth and transferred to suitable containers. Product residues should be flushed away with a large quantity of water. Disposal of the product and packaging is the responsibility of the end user.

Storage

Structuro 352 has a storage period of 12 months if kept in a dry place and in its original and closed containers at a temperature between 2ºC and 40ºC. The color of the additive may vary over time, without affecting the properties of the additive.

Safety and Hygiene

Structuro 352 should not be ingested or put in contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective gloves and goggles. Splashes on the skin should be washed off with water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed, seek immediate medical attention. Do not induce vomiting.
