Sprayset NS is a water-based liquid to be added to concrete as an admixture at the time of preparation.

Sprayset NS is used in both self-compacting and high performance concretes, obtaining high early strengths. 

It is also widely used to increase the strength of shotcrete.

Advantages

• It increases the cohesion of fresh concrete, giving it a texture that improves its rheology, making it easy to pump.
• Sprayset NS provides thixotropy to both dry and wet sprayed concrete.
• It reduces the porosity of the concrete, increasing its durability.

• Increases the resistance of the concrete to attacks from different chemical agents.

Typical dosage

The optimum dosage of Sprayset NS to achieve specific requirements should be determined by testing, using the materials and conditions that will be used in practice.

A starting point for such tests is to use a dosage of 0.5 to 5 litres of Sprayset NS per 100 kg of cement.

Compatibility

Sprayset NS is compatible with other Fosroc Euco admixtures and with all types of ordinary Portland cement.

Mixing

Sprayset NS is added to the concrete as soon as it is prepared together with the water and the other admixtures. In some cases, it is necessary to increase the mixing time. It should not be added to the dry mix.

Clean up and disposal

Spills of Sprayset NS should be absorbed with sand or earth and transferred to suitable containers. Product residues should be flushed away with a large amount of water. Disposal of the product and packaging is the responsibility of the end user.

Storage

Sprayset NS has a storage period of 12 months, provided it is kept at a temperature between 5 and 35ºC. Sprayset NS is a stable product, although slight settling may occur if not moved. Continuous agitation is recommended to prevent this from occurring. The product should be stored in plastic or stainless steel tanks or silos.

Precautions

Safety and Hygiene

Sprayset NS must not be swallowed or come into contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective gloves, goggles and mask.

In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed, seek immediate medical attention. Do not induce vomiting.
