Installation instructions
The faucets must be installed in such a way that they are firmly and correctly held while the concrete is being poured. The concrete should be compacted properly around the cocks to avoid coke or porous areas. When there is reinforcement, a space must be left between them and the cocks, to allow a correct compaction of the concrete.
The metal grommets used to fix the flasks are placed outside the end bulbs, so that no water paths can be created around the profile.
Instructions for splicing on site
The joint is made using a thermal welding equipment. The ends to be joined must have the same width and profile and be aligned with the help of a jaw. Both ends are pressed against a special hot blade, until a melted PVC cord appears around the section.
The hot blade is then removed, the molten ends being quickly joined together and pressing one end against the other. The PVC cools to form a welded joint. Care is required in the handling and installation of Supercast SL at low temperatures. Special care will also be required in laying and curing the concrete.
There are standard intersecting parts for each type of Supercast, and there are also jaws adapted to the
different sizes.
