Sprayset SF is a silica fume based additive to be added to dry mixes of aggregates and cement for gunite and shotcrete.

Sprayset SF is suitable for increasing the mechanical strength of shotcrete, providing a thixotropy that makes it possible to apply it in thick layers.

Optimum dosage

The optimum dosage of Sprayset SF to meet specific requirements must be determined by tests using the materials and conditions that will be used in practice.

A starting point for such tests is to use a dosage of 4 to 6 kg of Sprayset SF per 100 kg of cement.

Directions for use

Compatibility

Sprayset SF is compatible with other Fosroc Euco additives and with all types of ordinary Portland cement.

Mixing

Sprayset SF is added to the dry cement-aggregate mixture in such a way that it is uniformly distributed within the mixture. It should never be added to the wet mix. In some cases, it is necessary to increase the mixing time.

Curing

The fresh concrete must be protected against early drying out with a curing agent, Concure.

Clean up and disposal

Spills of Sprayset SF should be absorbed with sand or earth and transferred to suitable containers. Product residues should be flushed away with large quantities of water. Disposal of the product and packaging is the responsibility of the end user.

Storage

Sprayset SF has a storage period of 12 months, provided it is kept at a temperature between 2 and 40°C.

Precautions

Safety and hygiene

Sprayset SF must not be swallowed or come into contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective gloves, goggles and mask. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed, seek immediate medical attention. Do not induce vomiting.
