Conplast MR260 is a multifunctional plasticizer formulated from a blend of synthetic and natural polymers, which can be used as a plasticizer or superplasticizer depending on the dosage used.
Typical dosage
The optimum dosage of Conplast MR260 to achieve specific requirements should be determined by testing, using the materials and conditions that will be used in practice. A starting point for such trials is to use a dosage rate between 0.3 liters and 1.1 liters of Conplast MR260 per 100 kg of cementitious material, including ash, slag or microsilica.

Mode of application
Compatibility
Conplast MR260 is compatible with other Fosroc Euco admixtures in the same concrete mix. If more than one admixture is used, they should be added to the concrete separately and not mixed together prior to being added. The resulting properties of concrete containing more than one admixture should be checked by prior testing.
Conplast MR260 is suitable for use with all cements complying with RC-08.
Reduction of water permeability
One of the most effective means of reducing the permeability of a concrete mix is to reduce the water/cement ratio. Conplast MR260 can be used to achieve this reduction and produce a low permeability concrete.
Effects on setting
Most water-reducing admixtures cause some delay in the setting of concrete. This delay can also be affected by factors other than the admixture, such as the mix itself or the conditions under which it is produced. Tests are especially recommended in these cases to check the effects of a particular mix.
Dosing system
The correct amount of Conplast MR260 should be measured using a suitable metering system. For best results, the admixture should be added to the concrete in the mixing water or directly into the mixer at the same time as the water. Contact Fosroc Euco's Technical Department for advice on the appropriate dosing equipment and its installation.
Effects of overdosage
An overdosage of twice the maximum dosage indicated may cause delayed setting of the concrete as well as additional air occlusion.
Curing
The final characteristics of any structural concrete will depend on good curing practice. Therefore, it is very important to use a Fosroc Euco Concure type curing membrane, water spray or wet burlap.
Cleanup and disposal
Spills of Conplast MR260 should be absorbed with sand or earth and transferred to appropriate containers. Product residues should be flushed away with a large amount of water. Disposal of the product and packaging is the responsibility of the end user.
Limitations
Conplast MR260 may cause an increase in setting time, depending on the dosage used and the temperature. If an undesirable setting delay is obtained in a particular application, consult Fosroc Euco's Technical Department.
Storage
Conplast MR260BC has a storage period of 12 months if kept in a dry place and in its original and closed containers at a temperature between 2ºC and 40ºC.

Precautions
Safety and Hygiene
Conplast MR260 should not be ingested or put in contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective gloves and goggles.
Splashes on the skin should be washed off with water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed, seek immediate medical attention. Do not induce vomiting.
